Aluminium production in the first quarter of the current fiscal was below target with Bharat Aluminium Company (Balco) failing to resume production after months of labour unrest.
According to mines ministry figures released here today, 1.36 lakh tonne aluminium was produced as against the target of 1.40 lakh tonne for the April-June quarter.
