Seeking to distance itself from the renewed feud between the Ambani brothers over Reliance Industries' plans to set up a power plant and cargo airport in an upcoming SEZ in Haryana, the state government today dismissed it as their personal matter. |
Asked about an Anil Ambani Group company alleging violation of non-compete agreement by elder brother Mukesh-controlled RIL, state Transport Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said it was for the two brothers to sort out the issue. |
"It is between Anil Ambani and Mukesh Ambani to sort out the matter," he told reporters at a meet-the-press programme here. |
"Let them (RIL) purchase power from Power Trading Corporation. Anybody can purchase power from them," he said. Surjewala also dismissed the issue of setting up the airport as "his (Mukesh Ambani's) problem". |
ADAG group's Reliance Energy has termed as "violation" RIL's proposal to build a 2,000 Mw power project and a cargo airport in the Haryana SEZ, which will be developed under a joint venture with Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation. |
