More than 70 supporters of Team Anna were detained on Sunday when they staged a demonstration outside the residence of Union Home Minister P Chidambaram in Chennai.
The protesters raised slogans against Chidambaram and demanded an inquiry by a Special Investigation Team into the allegations of corruption against 15 Central ministers including him.
Police said the demonstrators were detained. The protest comes a day after Team Anna supporters staged a protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence in Delhi. Following the protest, security has been tightened in the area.
