Union agriculture minister Chaturanan Mishra yesterday said the Congresss anti-Left attitude would prove to be suicidal for the party. Mishra told reporters here that the Congress had already lost its mass-base and the anti-Left campaign would further harm its image among the poor particularly the weaker sections of society.
He said the United Front government at the Centre was as strong as it had been in the beginning, but its continuance wholly depends on the Congress.
Mishra, however, admitted that the Congress party was preparing for a mid-term poll and in the given situation, any prediction on the lasting of the UF govt can be done by the party only.
