Uncertainty over the timing of the state cabinet formation continues.

Even though decks have been cleared over the size and composition of his cabinet after Rajasekhara Reddy consulted Sonia Gandhi in his third trip to Delhi, the timing of the cabinet formation at Delhi, is holding the state leadership back from announcing the date.

"The outer limit is Monday," was all that Rajasekhara Reddy could say when he was encountered by the media with a persistent question on the date on Friday evening. Earlier it was tentatively decided to hold the swearing in ceremony for the ministers on Saturday.

Sources close to the chief minister told Business Standard that in the wake of the latest situation, the cabinet would be constituted on Monday if it does not happen on Saturday.

Rajasekhara Reddy is expected to fly to Delhi on Saturday to attend the oath-taking ceremony of the prime minister and his cabinet colleagues.

He will visit his native Pulivendula town in Kadapa district on Sunday on the eve of his father's death anniversary.
