Andhra Pradesh chief minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, has sought cooperation of Australia in helping the state government build infrastructure projects and strengthen roads and drainage networks in the new state.
A delegation led by Lord Mayor Graham Quirk met the chief minister on Wednesday. The chief minister informed the team that AP has abundant natural resources, a 1,000 km-long coastline and other advantages, which enable the state to create wealth.
The focus of the state government was on building basic infrastructure as well as on sectors like IT, manufacturing, pharma and most importantly, power.
“We still have a few impediments in our way. It is just a matter of time before Andhra Pradesh becomes one of the top three states in the country,” Naidu said.
