AP govt sets target to become No.1 in ease of doing business

State has also set a target to be number one or two in attracting FDI

Andhra Pradesh Government has said by next year it would be number one in the country as far as ease of doing business concerned. Currently the state is ranked number two. Besides, the state has also set a target to be either number one or two in attracting FDI.

After inaugurating Mondelez India's new facility at Tada, Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu, chief of Minister of the state currently the state is ranked number two, after Gujarat, when it ease of doing business.

"By next year we will be number one and as far as FDI currently we are number and we will be number one or number two," said the Chief Minister.

 

He added, the State is working hard to attract investments and he said one of the key for that is labour. "We don't want any labour unrest or issues which will send bad signal to the investors."

Naidu said the state already have good connectivity and good infrastructure with industrial townships like SriCity at Tada. "This is (SriCity) the model which is the best examples when it comes to industrial townships."
