AP in plans to boost exports by SHGs

 As part of tapping the export market, the department has developed a barcoding system for every product, which gives information about the product such as quality, materials used and from which district that particular SHG maker belongs to etc.

 The government has plans to cover all rural poor women under SHGs in next four years and all habitations in the state would have at least one SHG. It also chalked out a programme to bring at least one woman from a BPL (below poverty line) family under SHG in next two years.
