Andhra Pradesh State Financial Corporation (APSFC) has evinced interest in securing an insurance corporate agency registration. |
APSFC is expected to shortly file its application with the IRDA for getting the nod to become a corporate insurance agent. |
APSFC already has a strategic tie-up with IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance company to offer insurance related services to its customers. |
"APSFC needs to become a one-stop financial institution that provides all finance and insurance related needs under one roof to the customers," M Gopalakrishna, chairman of APSFC said. |
The move to become a corporate insurance agent is expected to improve the income sources of the corporation but also provide a competitive edge, he said. |
APSFC and IFFCO-TOKIO recently organised a training programme on insurance modalities for 28 selected employees working in 25 branch offices of APSFC. IFFCO-TOKIO is expected to conduct more such training programmes for APSFC employees. |
