Coming down heavily on the practice of deploying vigilante groups like Salwa Judum in the fight against Maoists, the Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Centre and Chhattisgarh Governments to desist from arming tribals in the name of SPOs, saying it was “unconstitutional”.
