Arrest warrant against UPA minister

A non-bailable warrant has been issued against Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav, minister of state for water resources in the United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre, for allegedly helping his brother Vijay Prakash Yadav, a RJD candidate in the Bihar Assembly polls, escape from police custody in the Jamui district.
 
The non-bailable warrant has been issued under Sections 218, 225 and 120(b) of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
 
Stepping up their offensive against Yadav, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) sought his immediate removal from the Union government in the wake of the issue of warrant of arrest against him.
