Noted management guru and founder director of the city-based Asian School of Business Management (ASBM), Biswajeet Pattanayak who had redefined management learning a few years back by introducing a case study on 'Lagaan' during his stint at IIM-Indore, has now decided to document a full-fledged case study on noted social activist Anna Hazare.
The decision to document the case study was taken by Pattanayak after his recent meeting with the veteran Gandhian.
Pattanayak feels that Anna Hazare’s transformational leadership that pioneered change management in a particular geographical segment will now boost up the morale of management scholars across the globe by focusing on creativity, innovation, team building and participatory action.
The economic self sufficiency, campaign against alcoholism and combined efforts for emancipation of villagers from poverty, marginalization, hunger, disease and underdevelopment will serve as an eye opener for the future managers who will be working in several organizations with varied culture and environment. ASBM will soon come up with a team initiative consisting of management students and faculty members to augment process documentation with extensive video coverage that will motivate the management students to learn lessons of managerial acumen, turnaround solution, business ethics and corporate social responsibility, said a release of the school.
