Asian indices start mixed

The Asian markets are exhibiting mixed movements in early trades this morning.

The Nikkei has shed 125 points to 14,998. The Hang Seng has slipped 53 points to 15,756.

The Seoul Composite and KLSE Composite indices are also marginally in red at 1225 and 903, respectively.

The Shanghai index has surged 1% to 1623. The Straits Times and Taiwan Weighted indices are in green at 2351 and 6497, respectively.
