Asian indices up in early trades

Most of the Asian indices were seen heading north in early trades this morning.

The Nikkei has surged 184 points to 14,621. The Hang Seng has added 67 points to 16,111.

The Straits Times, Seoul Composite and Taiwan Weighted indices are up around 1% each at 2355, 1242 and 6352, respectively.

The Shanghai indexd has, however, dropped 1% to 1670.
