Asian markets deep in red; Nikkei down 295pts

Asian markets have posted significant losses this morning following a slide in the US markets after the Federal Reserve as expected cut rates by 25bps.

The Hang Seng has slumped 810 points to 28,417. The Nikkei has plunged 295 points to 15,750.

The Taiwan Weighted index has shed 170 points to 8469.

The Straits Times has slipped 64 points to 3525, and the Seoul Composite index has declined 28 points to 1897.
