Asian markets gain; Hang Seng up 374pts

Asian markets are up this morning on hopes of Fed rate cut.

The Hang Seng has surged 374 points to 28,875. The Nikkei has advanced 114 points to 16,038.

The Straits Times has moved up 13 points to 3566, and the Seoul Composite index has added eight points to 1914.

The Taiwan Weighted index is almost flat at 8596 - down two points.
