Asian markets gain in early trade

Asian markets moved up in early trades today.

Japan's Nikkei has gained 84 points at 17,863. Hong Kong's Hang Seng has moved up 128 points to 20,636.

China's Shanghai Composite index has rallied 53 points to 3966.

The Taiwan Weighted index has surged 55 points to 8356, and the Straits Times has added 40 points to 3532. The Seoul Composite index, however, has slipped 10 points to 1717.
