Asian markets in a sea of red

Asian markets are mostly in negative zone in early trades following a sell-off on the Wall Street on Friday.

Hang Seng has slumped 395 points to 22,144. Nikkei has plunged 148 points to 16,832.

The Taiwan Weighted index has shed 157 points to 8901, and the Straits Times index has dropped 121 points to 3315. The Seoul Composite index has slipped 39 points to 1838.

The Shanghai Composite index, however, has moved up 45 points to 4606.
