Asian markets in red

Most of the Asian indices are hovering in negative zone trackking losses in the US markets.

The Shanghai index has shed 1.8% to 1709. The Taiwan Weighted index has slipped nearly 1% to 6581. The Straits Times is down 0.5% at 2411.

While the Hang Seng is down 60 points at 16,461, the Nikkei has gained 93 points at 15,342.
