Asian markets mixed

The Asian markets are wintessing mixed trend this morning.

The Nikkei has plunged 248 points to 14,598. The Hang Seng is marginally up at 16,070.

The KLSE Composite and Straits Times indices are up 1% each at 912 and 2347, respectively.

The Seoul Composite index has dropped 1% to 1242.
