Asian markets rally on positive US cues

Asian markets have rallied smartly on the back of positive cues from the US markes.

The Nikkei has surged 531 points to 16,333. The Hang Seng has rallied 792 points to 25,368.

The Straits Times has advanced 94 points to 3572, and the Seoul Composite index has added 57 points to 1895. The Taiwan Weighted index has gained 68 points at 8968.

The Shanghai Composite index, however, has slipped 58 points to 5367.
