Asian markets weak in early trade

The Nikkei has dropped 107 points to 15,832. The Hang Seng, however, is flat at 16,954.

The Taiwan Weighted index has slipped 63 points to 6464, and the Straits Times index is down 11 points at 2442.

The All Ordinaries, Shanghai Composite, KLSE Composite and Seoul Composite indices are more or less flat.
