The aviation crisis between India and Kuwait is expected to be resolved as both sides resumed talks in the Kuwait capital today.

Kuwait's Indian ambassador M Ganapathy told PTI over phone that there is "some movement and we hope for a final conclusion by afternoon."

The spat between the two countries began when Kuwait decided to stop Indian carriers from flying into the country from July 1.

A high-level Indian delegation comprising civil aviation ministry joint secretary R K Singh and representatives of A-I and IA arrived in Kuwait yesterday to break the deadlock.

Singh said the talks went off well yesterday and added that the talks were part of a prolonged discussion. "We are always hopeful," he said.
