Babri Masjid Action Committee (BMAC) today demanded the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Centre to move applications in the Allahabad High Court for daily hearing to expedite trial and judgement in the mosque demolition case.

The demand was raised today during a meeting of the BMAC, which was chaired by Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqui, Babri Action Committee convenor Zafaryab Jilani said in a statement issued here.

He said that during the meeting discussions were held on the Liberhan Commission report and it was felt that its findings which indict RSS, VHP, BJP, Shiv Sena and Bajrang Dal for demolishing Babri Mosque were legally correct.

"It was also felt that action announced by the Centre was not sufficient and effective action has not been taken so far," Jilani said.

The BMAC has also demanded that on the basis of the Commission report, the Centre should direct the CBI to incorporate charge of criminal conspiracy in the demolition case being heard in a Rae Bareli court.

"It was stated that of the 68 people indicted by the Commission for demolition, the CBI should be directed to lodge cases against those, who were left out earlier, and file a charge sheet against them," the convenor said.

Jilani said that detailed discussion was held on the High Court's September 30 judgement on Ayodhya title suits.

"It was informed that under the supervision of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, four appeals had been filed in the Supreme Court and five more will be filed after the copy of the court's decision is received," he said.
