Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said he would meet the Prime Minister to discuss the recent hike in fuel prices after his return from France and Egypt.
The hike in fuel prices is not beneficial, especially to the farm sector, Badal told reporters here.
When the minister was asked about the power crisis in the state, he accused his predecessor Amarinder Singh's government of having completely failed to generate even a single unit during its five years rule.
The chief minister said that his government is committed to securing Punjab's future energy needs with a power generation programme of 12244 Mw, which would be the biggest in the state's history.
