Bagdai panel wins Rajkot Chamber elections

Bagdai however got the least number of votes in the panel. Sources close to the development informed that Bagdai was expected to get elected unanimously. However, Kishorebhai Ghiya's refusal to withdraw his nomination made the election inevitable.

Bagdai is the frontrunner to the post of the president thanks to his strong political links. The new president may take charge by Friday.

 

Of the total 1145 voters, 696 voters cast their vote on Saturday. Apurv Ganatra, Jitendra Adani and Samir Shah got highest votes. While each of the three members got 670 votes, Hitesh Bagdai got only 587 votes. Kishorebhai Ghiya, managed to get only 169 votes.
