The sealing of unauthorised commercial establishments in residential areas in Delhi will continue today, notwithstanding a bandh called by traders to protest the Supreme Court-ordered action.

The SC appointed monitoring committee has issued directions to the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in regards to the drive and has handed over a list of establishments to be sealed during the day.

"Sealing is on. Bandh will not have any affect on the operations," official sources said adding the drive is likely to resume in a South Delhi colony.

The drive has so far targeted big shops and malls areas like Ashram, Lajpat Nagar, Safdarjung Enclave and Bhikhaji Cama Place in South Delhi, with the MCD sealing 237 commerical establishments since resumption of action two days ago.

Meanwhile, the three-member panel has permitted telecom regulator TRAI to operate from a building in South Delhi, which was sealed, for one more month.
