Banks in Mysore have stepped up efforts to link bank accounts of LPG consumers with their Aadhaar numbers against the background of criticism by some consumers on non-transfer of direct benefit because of banks' failure to seed their accounts.
The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme was launched in Mysore district on July 1 and the process of money transfer to LPG consumers has begun. However, there are some complaints over non-transfer of money to their accounts though they have submitted all the documents to the banks as well as LPG suppliers.
