Tempers ran high when 18-odd Cabinet ministers met at the 7, Race Course Road residence of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee around noon to discuss the situation arising out of the manhandling and arrests of DMK chief and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and two Union ministers -- Murasoli Maran and TR Baalu.
