Bengal FM holds pre-budget discussion with chambers

Mitra said that the chambers and the trade bodies had given their views to the government on the budget

West Bengal Finance minister Amit Mitra today held a pre-budget discussion with chambers of commerce and trade bodies of the state to get feedback from the business side.

"Today we had a very fruitful discussion with representatives of the various chambers and trade associations to know about their expectations from the state budget," Mitra told reporters after the meeting here.

Mitra said that the chambers and the trade bodies had given their views to the government on the budget.

He said that state government would weighs all the pros and cons before incorporating their views in the budget.

Representatives from CII (eastern region), FICCI Eastern Regional Council, Assocham West Bengal chapter, ICC, Bengal Chamber, Merchants' Chamber, Bengal National Chamber and Bharat Chamber of Commerce were present along with various trade associations.
