Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Surjyakanta Mishra today criticised the state government for launching projects just days before Lok Sabha polls are to be announced and wondered how many of them would actually get implemented.
Mishra said the government launched 130 projects, but doubted how many of them would see the light of day.“They are doing this clearly with an eye on the elections and to mislead the people,” he claimed and said people, however, knew the ground reality. “She is an all-rounder and expert in batting, bowling and even umpiring. She seems to be an expert in everything,” Mishra told newspersons here outside the Assembly here.
Mishra was making a mocking reference to Banerjee’s speech during launching of a slew of development projects from the state headquarter Nabanna last Saturday, in which she said, “Remember, we are doing good batting, good fielding and even good umpiring.”“The government does not do what it says and does not say what it does,” said Mishra, who is also a politburo member of the CPI(M).
