A Division Bench comprising Justice K R Vyas and Justice Kamal Mehta adjourned the hearing after the defence lawyer pleaded for three weeks' time to obtain and study necessary papers pertaining to the case and the appeal. |
S N Shelat, advocate general, appearing for the government, submitted to the court that the state had no objection to granting time to the defence counsel. |
A fast track court in Vadodara had acquitted 21 persons, accused of charring to death 12 people in the Best Bakery on June 27. The defence lawyers took strong objection to certain media reports and urged the court to sound a word of caution to them. |
