The city-based Bharat Heavy Plate and Vessels Limited (BHPV) has bagged a single largest order of Rs 48 crore from Nuclear Power Corporation of India.
This work order envisages to design, manufacture and supply of hair pin type heat exchangers numbering at 88, which will be used at Madras Atomic Power Station-1, Chennai.
Recently, BHPV has supplied similar equipments involving latest welding technology for exotic materials and assely procedures for these specialised heat exchangers to Nuclear Power Corporation, a BHPV release said here.

With this order, the company expects that the shop work will increase and it is confident to deliver the specialised heat exchangers within the stipulated contractual period of 16 months, the release added.
BHPV also expects that this will be a turning point in the order book position., this being the single largest order received by BHPV for the last two years, release said.
