Bharti Enterprises is planning to set up a business process outsourcing (BPO) centre in the city.

The centre will have an initial seating capacity of 500, which will be increased to 1000 in a short span of time.

Bharti group chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said that the new centre would come up within the next six months.

Bharti had entered into a 50:50 joint venture with US-based TeleTech Holding in the beginning of this month to foray into the BPO space.

The joint venture, named as TeleTech India, would take care of credit and collections, account maintenance, application and claims processing, infrastructure management and asset and document management, Mittal said.
