To provide proper industrial training to Bhopal gas victims, thereby ensuring employment to them, the state government today demanded a supplementary grant of Rs 104 crore in its first supplementary budget of Rs 3,476.42 crore tabled in the state Assembly. It has also demanded Rs 60 crore to purchase a two-engine helicopter, mainly to be used by the state chief minister.
The government will make payment of Rs 36 crore as an advance to the supplying company. This budget includes central grant of Rs 78 crore and state contribution of Rs 28 crore. State finance minister Raghavji today tabled the first supplementary demands.
Similarly, the animal husbandry department, which is headed by controversial minister Ajay Vishnoi, has demanded Rs 98 crore for salaries and wages.
