The Communist Party of India (Maoist) has criticised the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the CPI(M) for corruption and nepotism. In a press release, a CPI (Maoist) leader said the TMC was dreaming of getting power in the state after winning 19 seats in the last Lok Sabha elections.
He alleged that several organisations had played a big role in preparing the groundworks to fight the CPI(M). Both the parties--CPI(M) and TMC-- he alleged, supported the operations in Lalgarh. He levelled charges of corruption and nepotism against both the parties and several leaders of the ruling coalition and the opposition party. The TMC and their allies were working as the informers of police in Lalgarh, he said. He asked them to change their ways and called for the smaller parties to come together to fight the CPI(M) and the TMC in the Assembly elections in 2011.
