The Bharatiya Janata Party yesterday criticised the United Front government for compromising with the various insurgent outfits by agreeing to discuss their problems in another country.

Describing the United Front government as a weak government, BJPs general secretary Tapan Sikdar said it was compromising with the ultras at the cost of the countrys interest.

Talking to newsmen here he said: it seems that the militants have no faith in our government.

No other country will help India sort out her internal problems, rather it will take benefit of our weakness, he said.

Sikdar said unless police and para military forces were allowed to work freely in the situation with sophisticated weapons, the problem could never be solved in the North Eastern states.
