Shocked over death of a 3-year-old Indian boy at Melbourne under mysterious circumstances, the BJP today demanded discussion in Parliament on the incident.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, BJP leader M Venkiah Naidu said, "This horrible incident has shocked the entire world."
When Deputy Chairman K Rahman Khan said the issue would be taken up on Monday, Naidu wanted External Affairs Minister S M Krishna to "take note" and respond.
Krishna, while expressing his "deep felt condolence" to the family of deceased child Gurshan Singh, said the government is yet to get the full details of the "most unfortunate incident".
He expressed hope that the police in Australia would get to the bottom of the incident.
The Indian mission there would be ready to help the family in grief, he said.
Body of Gurshan, who went missing from his house, was found yesterday in Melbourne.
