The Congress has three noted economists in Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Monetk Singh Ahuluwalia, but it could not check inflation and price rise, BJP National general secretary H N Anantkumar said at a party's election rally.
The common man and farmers are today reeling under price rise and other socio-economic problems due to the policies of the Congress, he alleged while campaigning for his party for the second phase of assembly elections to be hled on May 16.
"Terrorist activities are going unimpeded in the country due to wrong and soft corner policies of the UPA government. College campuses are becoming recruiting centres for terrorists", he alleged.
Congress meted out step motherly treatment to Karnataka, he charged and questioned the contribution of leaders like Oscar Fernandes, Veerappa Moily and B Janardhana Poojary for the development of coastal region.
