Bollywood producer to make Haryanvi comedy flick

The Haryanvi cinema may see some hope of revival as Bollywood producers have started evincing interest in it.

Ved Prakash, a Mumbai-based producer, is all set to shoot a Haryanvi comedy flick ‘Rukke Pad Gey’ (halla mach gaya), inspired by Rajesh Khanna starrer ‘Bawarchi’.

“The regional cinema in Bihar does exceptionally well because the film is marketed well. We can replicate this here by adopting a good marketing strategy,” he said.
