Cheers returned on the faces of Indian businessmen after China gave the green signal for the resumption of the much-delayed annual Sino-Indian border trade in Tibet.
According to official sources, the border trade, likely to resume in a day or two, will continue till September 30. Nearly 350 trade passes are being given to small businessmen, who will be travelling to Tibet, crossing through the Lipulekh Pass situated at an altitude of 17,500 feet in Pithoragarh district.
The border trade between the two countries is estimated at Rs 7 crore.
