Brent crude oil price zooms above $71/bl

London crude climbed 36 cents to $71.08 per barrel in London deals after hitting a 9-month high of $71.80 on Thursday. Nymex crude rose 72 cents to $64.90.

The spike in crude oil prices was due to the strike in Nigeria that threatened output, Iran remained defiant over its nuclear programme, and an agency report said North Korea fired several short-range missiles towards the Sea of Japan this morning.
