Security chiefs of the world's four fastest emerging economies, including India and Russia, are meeting here tomorrow to finalise the agenda of the first stand alone summit of the grouping in Yekaterinburg next month.

National Security Advisor M K Narayanan is representing India at the meeting of BRIC nations — Brazil, Russia, India and China — hosted by the Secretary of Russian Federation's Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev.

The issues like international terrorism, trans-border crimes, illegal drug trafficking, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and global economic downturn are likely to come up at the meeting, sources said here.

The developments in Pakistan's Swat valley and fate of its nuclear assets, and launching of several missiles by North Korea in defiance of the UNSC resolutions are said to be among the major concerns of BRIC nations.

Local media here have expressed concern at the possibility of embattled Pyongyang selling nuclear weapons know-how to terrorist outfits like al Qaeda and Taliban.
