Gordon Brown, Britain's Chancellor of the Exchequer for the duration of Tony Blair's government, has officially started his campaign to be the next occupant of 10,  Downing Street.

Brown, who has clashed with Blair in the past, kicked off his campaign for the Labour leadership on Friday by taking the fight to Enfield - a symbolic gesture aimed at recapturing the excitement of the 1997 landslide election victory that swept Labour into power.
