Taking a serious note of the senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh's statement allegedly threatening Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati by misusing CBI against her, BSP today said that it would produce a CD of the statement in the Supreme Court.
The party also asked the Election Commission to take suo moto notice of it and file a case against Singh.
"Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh in the election rally in Hardoi publicly accepted what the BSP had always been saying that Congress-led UPA government misuses CBI against its political opponents and now we will produce its CD and transcript in the apex Court in a related case", BSP national general secretary Satish Chandra Misra told news persons here.
Demanding a public apology from UPA and its chairperson Sonia Gandhi over the issue, Misra said an immediate check should be made on this practice otherwise it would have serious ramifications.
Continuing its tirade against the Election Commission, Misra alleged that it is initiating action on every complaint against BSP and questioned as to why it is silent on the senior Congressmen.
Misra's reaction comes in the wake of Singh's April 20 election rally in Mallawan, Hardoi in which he had allegedly asked the Chief Minister to stop atrocities on Congress workers or otherwise the party has CBI with it who is already investigating a case against her.
