Bt cotton found more pest resistant

 Conducted at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS) at Raichur in Karnataka, the study involved actual trials and collation of data to study the behaviour of pests and their impact on cotton.

 Gujarat is one of the leading producers of cotton in the country and there is at present a debate whether Bt cotton should be adopted.

 While the study was undertaken at the university premises earlier this year, the trials were undertaken at the university
