Buddha asked to make statement in House on CPI(M) leader killing

West Bengal Assembly Speaker Hasim Abdul Halim on Wednesday asked Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee to make a statement in the House on the killing of a former CPI(M) MLA. Admitting a calling attention motion by RSP member Nirmal Das, the Speaker asked Parliamentary Affairs minister Sailen Sarkar to fix a date for the chief minister to make a statement in the House on the killing of Ananda Das at Nanoor yesterday. Sarkar said the chief minister will make the statement tomorrow. Earlier, CPI(M) member Pradip Ta said armed TMC activists had ransacked the party's zonal office and an office of CITU for two hours, driving out the occupants.
