West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today hinted at possible investment by Infosys Technologies in the state.
"You'll see it soon. I had discussion with Infosys founder-chairman N R Narayana Murthy today," Bhattacharjee told reporters to a question if there was any indication of investment by Infosys following his discussion with Murthy during a function in the metropolis.
However, Bhattacharjee declined to divulge details.
Murthy also visited New Town area during the day.
Both Wipro and Infosys were to get 100 acres each under the proposed IT hub at Rajarhat earlier.
But after the Vedic Village fire incident, the project was shelved and both the companies had been offered 50 acres of land each in New Town area.
While Wipro accepted the offer, Infosys is yet to inform the state government about its decision.
