The Union budget has adopted the fundamental spirit of Kelkar Committee recommendation on taxation, Dipankar Chatterjee, chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) eastern region said here today.
Participating in a post budget discussion Chatterjee said the budget gave due emphasis on procedural reforms, simplification of rules, administrative reforms which were at the heart of Kelkar Committee recommendation.
