In a concerted crackdown aimed at instilling a better sense of work ethics amongst government servants, chief executive officer of the Buldhana zilla parishad Nand Kumar Jantre suspended two primary school teachers for dereliction of duty while issuing show cause notices upon 102 other employees from various other departments for similar reasons.

The two teachers were found, during a surprise check, absent from work although they had signed in the daily roster in the school. The two were identified as Dilip Hiralal Rathod, a primary teacher at Khiroda School and R G Jadhav, an assistant teacher at Khirda school.

The surprise check was carried out to zero in on errant government staff subsequent to a number of complaints being received by Jantre against them.

Jantre has constituted a number of flying squads headed by senior officers of the departments concerned which have been pressed into this service.

The flying squads were also able to pinpoint 102 other employees working in Buldhana ZP administration for being absent from duty during office hours despite being marked present on the duty roster, following which they were issued show cause notices.
